Associate Teacher Training Day Itinerary (6-hour day)

The training day begins with a warm welcome where workbooks are handed out, and the day's agenda is explained. Associates start by filling out the "Self-Reflection" section on page 1 of the workbook

Module 1: Roles and Responsibilities

Involves a detailed discussion on the roles and responsibilities of an Associate Teacher. Associates complete the corresponding sections in the workbook during this module.

Module 2: Foundations

Starts with a 10-minute warm-up involving Associates and Student Demonstrators. After playing the "Module 3: Foundations" video, the session includes discussions and demonstrations on key foundational skills such as hand placement, rolling through the spine, bridges, and handstands. Associates fill out the workbook as they proceed through this section.

Module 3: Trick Families

It is divided into several sub-modules, each focusing on a different family of tricks. For each trick family, a video is played, followed by demonstrations with a student on how to teach and spot the specific tricks. Associates fill out their workbooks during these demonstrations.

The types of tricks taught in the program include Rock and Roll, Forward Roll, Backward Roll, Shoulder Roll, Table-Top, Bridges, Teddy Bear Stand, Headstand, Elbow Stand, Chest Stand, Backward Handstand (at the wall), Forward Handstand (at the wall), Handstand (center floor), and Cartwheels.
