The Acro Dance Testing Day Program
The world’s first acro examinations program that you conduct yourself at your studio without the expense of out of town examiners.
Who is the Acro Dance Testing Day Program for?
This program is perfect for dance studios that want to conduct an annual or semi-annual testing process for their acrobats without the hassle and expense of bringing in an external examiner.
The testing can be conducted by the teacher or a locally hired professional. It’s designed to be plug and play, requiring no additional exam preparation outside of regular classwork.
Eliminate the need for out-of-town examiners, saving significant costs associated with travel and accommodation.
The program integrates seamlessly with the existing ADTA syllabus, requiring no out-of-class exam preparation work. It's straightforward and user-friendly, ensuring a smooth implementation process.
Conduct testing days whenever it fits your program. You can choose to have testing once a year or multiple times per year, depending on how often you want to evaluate your acro dancers.
Suitable for all students from the Junior level and up, with evaluations based on individual progress. This allows every student to participate, regardless of whether they have mastered specific skills yet or not.
Any knowledgeable acro teacher can conduct the testing day, making it accessible and convenient for all dance studios.

ADTA Acro Dance Testing encourages students to set and achieve annual goals, work at a high personal standard, and develop stronger acro dance techniques.
Students are evaluated either by their acro teacher or an outside acro professional of your choice. The process is designed to be accessible to all acro dance students and is completed “In House,” similar to a karate belt test.
The testing process is laid out perfectly inside the program handbook and will show you how everything works and how to conduct your annual acro dance testing day.
Each level covers essential elements from the syllabus, including strength and flexibility, body positions, drills theory, tricks and partnering, and across the floor progressions.
The ADTA Testing Day Program is designed to be inclusive and student-focused. Any student from the Junior level and up can participate. Unlike traditional acro exams, which evaluate students strictly based on their ability to perform specific tricks, the ADTA Testing Day evaluates students based on their individual progress and current abilities.
For example, in a traditional acro exam, if a student has not mastered a Back Walkover by the exam day, they would not be able to take the exam for that level. However, in the ADTA Testing Day Program, the student would be assessed based on what they can perform at that moment. If the student cannot do a Back Walkover, they would be evaluated on the prerequisite skills, such as the Bridge Kick-over, which is a step leading up to the Back Walkover.
This approach ensures that every student has the opportunity to participate and be evaluated, setting realistic goals and milestones that motivate them to progress. It keeps students accountable for their development and provides a clear path for improvement, without the discouragement of being unqualified for the exam due to a not achieved yet skill.
The Acro Dance Testing Day Program is your key to fostering an environment of growth, achievement, and excellence within your dance studio.
By implementing this innovative and flexible program, you'll provide your students with the motivation and structure they need to continually progress and excel in their acro dance journey. Empower your students with the opportunity to showcase their skills and celebrate their accomplishments, all while maintaining a cost-effective and efficient examination process.
